Your kids will love Church of the King!
Being a kid is fun, and we believe that participating in church life should be at the top of every kid’s list of favorite weekly activities. We build into the Kids Connect Ministry many fun and interactive activities aimed at helping the kids connect to the Biblical lessons which are at the center of every gathering. We believe learning what God has to say about their lives will set them up for success and the most fulfilling life possible.
Our children’s program is designed to be a safe place for all children to learn the Bible. Every worker has been background checked and approved to work with children. The children’s program includes teaching, games, crafts, snacks, and personal attention.
All of our activities and gatherings are designed for each child to have fun and encounter God!

Age Groups
The focus of this group of children is: God loves me & church is a safe place to learn about Him. Children have the opportunity to hear God’s Word and learn how important they are to Him through Bible stories, age-appropriate activities, and prayer.
Building on what they learned in Connect Nursery, children in the Connect Pre-K class, grow to love God as they discover: 1) God Made Me, 2) God Loves Me, and 3) God wants to be my forever friend. As they make and play with friends at church, they begin to learn to “love their neighbor as themselves.” Kids learn these important truths through a variety of ways including Bible lessons, praise, prayer, crafts, and other fun, age-appropriate activities.
The Connect K-5 kids learn about the deep love of God and what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Through interactive Bible lessons, prayer, worship, skits, activities, and missions projects, these kids are truly being challenged to: 1) CONNECT to God, 2) CONNECT to Each Other, and 3) CONNECT to Their World. As they learn, grow, and allow God to transform them on the inside, we encourage them to become an example of Christ in their schools, neighborhoods, playgrounds, and wherever they go.

Erica Beason
Children’s Pastor
Both Pastors Wayne and Erica came to know Jesus at a young age as they grew up in Christian households where they started their journey of learning the Bible and developing their strong faith. Individually, they sensed God leading them to train for pastoral ministry. They obeyed, pursued Biblical education and ministerial credentials and have come to Church of the King with many years of ministry experience and hearts ready to serve. Since 2014, Pastor Wayne has served as our Associate Pastor, overseeing LifeGroups, Hospitality and other behind-the-scenes ministry needs. Pastor Erica leads the Children’s Ministry and manages much of the Office Administration. Together, Wayne and Erica firmly believe in the importance of strong, Godly families, emotionally healthy relationships, and the power of God to change lives. The Beasons are a blended family and have 6 children and 8 grandchildren. They are passionate about people coming into a personal relationship with Christ and moving in the power of the Holy Spirit.
